Spanish Inditex discusses apparel production with 16 Russian firms

MOSCOW, May 5 (PRIME) -- Spanish Inditex, one of the world’s biggest owners of apparel retail chains, has met with 16 Russian companies to discuss local production issues, the Industry and Trade Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

Zara CIS Director General Luciana Dorobantu said that some agreements on sample sewing have been achieved and the firms will continue to meet in Russia and Spain so that potential contracting companies could study requirements and standards. She added that Zara’s experts have found product quality of Russian sewing plants to be high and meeting international requirements.

Inditex is the owner of many famous apparel brands including Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Oysho, Uterque, Lefties and Stradivarius.
